Fairyloot Unboxing: April 2018

Today I thought I would do something a little bit different from my normal posts with this Fairyloot Unboxing of the April Whimsical Journeys box.  I am a huge lover of Fairyloot and can not tell you how excited I get when I receive their monthly box.  This month’s box included seven bookish items, as well as two bonus promotional items and the hardcover fantasy book with a signed book plate.

And so, here are all of the items included in April’s Fairyloot box!

First is the reusable Narnia coffee mug, which I was super excited to receive in this box!  I am absolutely in love with the exclusive design of this created by Ink and Wonder, as it is just so colourful and features this gorgeous map of Narnia.  I can not wait to start using this mug, especially as it is reusable and so will cut down on unnecessary waste whilst still allowing me to enjoy my warm cup of tea or coffee.

Next up is this Adventure Tote Bag designed by Stella’s Bookish Art.  This bag features a quote from The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien and once again I am in love with artwork on this!  It is such a gorgeous tote bag that I can not wait to start using to carry round all of my books and other necessities.

As is almost always included in a Fairyloot box, we were also treated to this Leif’s Ship Candle that is themed around the book included in this months box.  I always love it when Fairyloot base one of their items around the book included in that box, as it makes me just that little bit more excited to dive into it and discover more about the character this candle is based on.  This candle created by Flick the Wick smells absolutely gorgeous, and so I can not wait to start burning it whilst reading this month’s book.

This month’s box also included another unique item in the form of this Fantastic Beasts luggage tag designed by Lovely Owls Books.  This item is of course inspired by Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by J. K. Rowling, and I can not wait to use it every time I travel anywhere in the future.

This gorgeous Blackjack enamel pin is inspired by Percy’s black Pegasus in the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordian.  I am in love with the cute little design of this by Taratjah, who also designed the label for the candle in this month’s box, and I can’t wait to pin this to all of my jackets and bags!

I am a huge lover of notepads, and so you can probably guess how excited I was when I saw this Carpe Diem notepad designed by Little Inkling Designs.  The quote on this is from The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken, and although I have yet to read this series, this notepad has just made me more tempted to pick it up very soon as I adore this quote!

The last bookish item included this month is probably one of my favourite prints that I have ever recieved in a Fairyloot box, as I am just absolutely in love with this Fictional Places Art Print!  I got way too excited to see some of my favourite bookish places mentioned on this print designed by Fictiontea Designs, from Cabeswater to Ketterdam, and so I can not wait to add this to my wall of bookish prints!

And finally, the book included in this months Fairyloot box was….

Beyond a Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake!

I can not wait to dive into this fantasy filled with Celtic and Norse mythology that follows Leif and Ciara as they join forces to try and safe their kingdom and their world.  This book is also a stand-alone, something I am insanely happy about as it means no anxiously awaiting the sequel, which is what usually always happens with fantasy.  I adore this gorgeously dark cover with exclusive gold foiling on the cover, and so I can not wait to dive this one very soon!

Fairyloot also included two amazing bonus items in this months box, with the first of these being this awesome Ace of Shades button inspired by the book by Amanda Foody.  I haven’t read this book yet, but absolutely love the sound of it and so I can’t wait to hopefully pick it up at some point in the future.  This These Fates Divide bookmark promoting the second book in the Carve the Mark series by Veronica Roth, which I can’t wait to use in my next read!

So those are all of the items included in this month’s box!  What did you think?  What was your favourite item in this month’s box?  Are you excited for next month’s theme, Save the Kingdom?

    1. Thanks! I am in love with everything in this box, but especially the art print – I just love looking through it and remembering all of the places from all of my favourite books 🙂
