Top Ten Tuesday Fifty – Top Ten Books on my Spring TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/ meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Somehow we are already nearing the end of March, which means not only is this year speeding by alot faster than I want it to, but that we are also nearing warmer weather and springtime, something I am super excited for.  I feel like this winter has lasted as long as one in Game of Thrones, and so I am more than ready for Spring to begin, as it also means I can hopefully start getting round to all of this fantastic books.

So here are ten books on my Spring TBR!

Despite being super excited for the release of this third installment in this gorgeous fantasy series, I ended up falling back into old habits and not getting round to actually reading it.  So, now seems like the ideal time to finally pick this one up, as I still remember details from the previous books, plus the forth and final book isn’t scheduled for release till next year, so I still have plenty of time if I don’t end up reading it this spring.

After reading the first chapter of this fantasy mystery for my recent Try a Chapter Tag post, I am so excited to continue on with it and to delve deeper into everything that I have only seen a glimpse of so far.  Although I was already in love with the idea behind this story, everything from the illusions to the setting and the writing was so much interesting and detailed than I ever expected it to be, so I can only imagine what the rest of this story holds!

This dark fantasy sounds exactly like the sort of story I am in the mood for right now, so I’m really hoping that it becomes one of the books I get round to in the next few months.  I adore the sound of this book following a band of female mercenaries that I hope will give me everything I want and more from this story.

It is way past time for me to continue on with Becky Albertalli’s second book, after reading Simon over a year ago now, and so Spring seems like the perfect time to do just that.  I love the sound of this diverse contemporary that I am sure will give me all of the feels and be as uplifting and cute a story as her last novel.

Here is yet another of my anticipated releases for last year that I never got around to that I am determined to read before the sequel is released at the end of the year.  I have heard so many amazing things about this story, and so hopefully I can dive into and discover the magic for myself this spring.

This may seem like a little bit of a strange choice for anyone who has ever seen me rave about my love for this series, but I wanted to put it on this TBR as I would love to reread the entire Raven Cycle before Call Down the Hawk is released in November, and so now seems like a perfect time to start that.  I also will never pass up an oppurtinity to return to my favourite gang and my favourite world, even if it does mean neglecting my ever-growing TBR for a little while.

It feels like I have been reading this series for so long now that it doesn’t even seem possible that this book will finally conclude a story I have been invested in for years.  Ever since finishing the first installment in this trilogy, Everyday, I have been desperate to see what happened after the final page, and so I am hoping to do just that very soon.

Recently I’ve been slowly delving back into contemporary more and more, and so I am definitely in the mood to carry that on with this fairly short book whose concept I can not wait to see come to life.  I know that this will be an impactful and emotive read, which is exactly the time of contemporaries I love, so I am really hoping that this one will be in my read pile by the summer months.

A mystery in which the narrator wakes up in the body of a different suspect each day until the murder is solved sounds exactly like my sort of story!  Everything about this book makes me desperate to dive into it and to discover its secrets for myself, so I’m hoping that I can do just that this Spring.

I was desperate to read this book the first time I read its synopsis, and so could not resist picking it up when I saw it at my local library recently.  Not only can I not wait to see how this concept is executed, but I have also been exploring more thrillers and contemporaries like this recently, and so I am definitely in the mood to pick this one up very soon.
