Top Ten Tuesday Thirty Eight – Top Ten Books By My Favourite Authors That I Still Haven’t Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/ meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is another that forced me to confront my ever-growing TBR, and look at all the books by my favourite authors that I haven’t read yet.  I actually didn’t find it that difficult to think of books for this list, as whilst there are a few authors who I love where I have read all of their books, but more often than not I have yet to fully devour all of my one of my favourite author’s books.

So here are ten books by my favourite authors that I haven’t read yet!

The Shadow of the Wind Header.png

This is definitely the book on this list that I feel the guiltiest about not reading yet, as I adore Carlos Ruiz Zafon’s books, yet have been putting off reading this one for years.  However, I am determined to finally get round to this beloved story by the end of the year, so hopefully it won’t be too long before I can knock this one off my TBR for good.

Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (5).png

This is one that I don’t feel too bad about not having read yet, as I only recently bought myself a physical copy, and so it hasn’t been on my TBR for too long.  I have read and adored both of Adam Silvera’s other books, and so I cannot wait to dive into this, his debut novel, to see if I feel the same.

Morgan Matson is my go-to author for summery YA contemporary that I know will just fill me with butterflies with its cute moments and swoon-worthy characters.  However, as I haven’t really been in the mood for many contemporaries so far this year, I never got around to picking it up, despite my excitement for its release.

Carry On Header

Despite my undying love for Fangirl, I have yet to read this novel based off the fanfiction Cath writes within that book.  I have heard countless people talk about how much they adore this novel, and so I can not wait to dive into myself, particularly with the recent announcement of the sequel, Wayward Son.

One of the key reasons I have yet to dive into this superhero novel is because I’m usually not a fan of urban fantasies, despite the fact that I am sure Leigh Bardugo will still be able to work her magic and make me fall in love with this story as much as I adore her other books.

Someone please explain to me how I haven’t read this book yet, because I honestly don’t have an answer!  Anyone who knows me knows of my love for both The Raven Cycle and the Scorpio Races, so I have no idea why I have yet to dive into Maggie Stiefvater’s most recent release, especially considering it was published nearly a year ago now.

Naomi & Ely's No Kiss List Header.png

David Levithan is one of my most read authors, but he also has written a shed-load of books, so its no surprise that there are one or two I haven’t got round to reading yet.  This is definitely one of his books that I am most excited to get too soon, as not only does it sound super interesting, but I am also desperate to watch the movie soon.

A Court of Thorns and Roses Header.png

I adore Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass series, and so it make no sense why I have yet to start this, her other just as beloved series.  Like some other books on this list, this is also another I hope to read before the end of 2018, so here’s to this book being knocked off my TBR sooner rather than later!

The Beautiful and the Damned Header.png

So far, I have read two of Fitzgerald’s works, with this being the next I am hoping to read very soon.  I adore his lyrical writing which combined with the 1920’s settings makes his books some of my all time favourites, so hopefully this one will also live up to that.

A Reaper At The Gates Header.png

I was so excited for the release of this book that I bought it the instant it was out.  And yet, it is still sitting on my shelf, unread, a good few months later.  I think this may be because of two very different reason; I was not the biggest fan of A Torch Against The Night, and I know that after finishing this one I will have to wait ages to read the finale.

What books by your favourite authors have you still not read?  Have you read any of these – what did you think?

    1. Hope you enjoy Carry On and Rainbow Rowell’s other books – Fangirl is definitely my favourite of hers so far! I’m also in the opposite situation to you with Adam Silvera, as I love They Both Die At The End, so I hope you love it as well 🙂

  1. So many good books on this list, a lot of them are on my TBR as well! If you love Throne of Glass I’m 99% sure you’ll adore ACOTAR as well!
I usually love Morgan Matson’s books but I have to say I sort of DNF’d Save the Date. I was so excited for it but I found it a bit boring and unnecessarily long. I hope I can go back to it when I’m in the right mood and hope you’ll love it on your first read 😀

    1. Thanks! Hopefully your right and I will enjoy ACOTAR as well, as I know so many people adore it. I also hope you can get back into Save the Date at some point – sometimes your just not in the right mood for a certain book 🙂
