Top Ten Tuesday Thirty Five – Top Ten Binge-worthy TV Shows

TTT 35

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/ meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is one that I am extremely excited for, as I rarely get to talk about some of my favourite TV shows!  It didn’t take me very long at all to think of 10 binge-worthy shows to include in this list – in fact, I had to cut out a fair few to save this post from being miles long!

So here are 10 of my favourite binge-worthy TV shows!

Never would I have expected to fall so in love with this show, which I was really sceptical about going into as it does not sound like my sort of thing at all.  And yet, after just the first episode, that left me with tears in my eyes and a smile on my face, I was hooked.  This is now one of the shows I am most anticipating returning with a new season, even if I will just binge-watch all of the new episodes in a single day, because this show is just too good to not devour immediately.

Another comedy here, and another that will have you crying with laughter at Eleanor’s attempts to hide the fact that she does not belong in The Good Place.  Everything in this show is so well done, from its humour to its complex characters to its storytelling, and a plot twist that will leave you desperate to continue your binge of this fantastic show.

I can not describe the mix of horror and sadness I felt during the day this show was briefly cancelled for, because the world deserves so many more episodes of this hilarious TV comedy!  Not only will it have you laughing along with all of its spectacular characters, but it is also such a diverse and relevant show that deals so well with current topics whilst still making sure to leave you with a smile firmly planted on your face.

Its strange to think that there was a point in my life where I didn’t know even what this TV show was, as it is now one of my all time favourites, and something I hold so close to my heart.  I am even sitting here writing this whilst sipping coffee out of my Luke’s mug!  This show is just so wholesome and homely, and is bound to make you laugh and cry as you sit there curled up watching this gorgeous little show.

This is one of the very few shows on this list that I have actually watched from the moment the very first episode aired, and so its very close to my heart just because of that, as I have now been on this journey with these characters for five seasons.  That said, it is impossible to not binge this action-packed show with its complex characters who we get to see continuously grow and its constantly evolving world that has so many mysteries for you to uncover.

This series released by Netflix last year is by far one of my favourites, as it follows Sam, who has Autism, and his family’s daily lives and individual struggles.  Not only is this show so hilariously funny, but it is also so heart-warming to watch this realistic family support and love each other.  Plus, season two drops in just three days, so now is the perfect time to binge this awesome show!

This anthology horror show is certain to keep you watching whilst simultaneously scaring you with its creepy stories and supernatural happenings.  Plus.  every season brings something entirely new to the table, with new characters whose dark secrets you can slowly uncover, so it is almost impossible for you to get bored with this binge-worthy show.

If you want an amazingly hilarious comedy to binge, then please give this one a watch – I only started it a few months ago, and already have rewatched it all so many times I have lost count!  You will instantly fall in love with Moss, Roy and Jen in this British comedy that I dare anyone not to laugh out loud at.

This one is perfect if you want something easy yet addictive, with this fairy-tale based show always sure to make you watch one more episode to see what happens to our characters next.  I adore watching as each season takes on a new storyline for you to devour, with new characters introduced alongside the recurring cast of protagonists who you will undeniably grow to love.

As someone who rarely, if ever, watches reality shows, I was completely shocked when this one drew me in from the very first episode.  I love the set up of this show, as we get to see other people react to the clips after we watch them, and so I am more than happy that there are so many different seasons of this insanely binge-worthy show!

  1. I remember loving Once Upon a Time, mainly because of Killian. I LOVE HIM. Unfortunately, I sort of lagged behind and have forgotten most of the storylines so I’ll probably need a good refresher before resuming this series.

I also love Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It’s just iconic, to be honest.

What a fantastic list! I’ll be sure to check out The Good Place. Thanks for the recommendations!

      1. There’s just so many moments in it that make me laugh everytime I think of them! I also feel nervous when I haven’t seen any reviews for a book, but then it can be quite nice to go into a book without any prior expectations for it as well 🙂
