The Raven Cycle Book Tag

This tag was first created by MichEllisLife and LetsBookAboutIt.

When I saw that there was a tag inspired by my all time favourite book series when Cait @ Paper Fury gave it a go, I knew that there was no way I couldn’t do it myself.  By now, you could probably show me something even vaguely related to the Raven Cycle, and I would be interested in it!  I am also a huge fan of these questions, as they are slightly different from your usual book tag questions, and so I was really interested in answering them over the same old typical tag questions.

So here is The Raven Cycle Book Tag!

Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (10)

Okay, so she is not technically a mother, but Charlotte Branwell from the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare is honestly the only person I want looking after me if I ever find myself in the Shadowhunter world.  I just adored how strong and caring she was towards all of the characters, so she is definitely one of my favourite ‘mum’ characters.

Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (11)

I used to always dream of moving to New York when I was younger, and honestly I would still love to be able to do that one day.  I just love the idea of living in a big city with the bustle of life all around me, although as I’ve got older I’ve begun to realize just how expensive that dream may be!

Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (12)

There are so many books that ended up being very different than I thought they would be, but the book I think I am going to have to say for this is The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton, as I certainly did not expect the journey this book took me on.  This book is about so much more than just the miniature house Nella receives, as it discusses so many other issues in a historical setting, with this story filled with more twists and turns than I ever expected.

Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (13)

Other than any book related wishes (of which they are way too many…), like wishing for an infinite amount of time to read my never-ending TBR or for the entire Ronan series to be released right now, I think I would probably have to say something cliche but true like world peace or happiness – because who doesn’t want those things?

Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (14)

I would definitely have to say the entirely psychotic villain who you adore but also are completely petrified off, because they would not thing twice about killing you if it suited them.  Basically just give me AIDAN from the Illminae Files combined with a little bit of Alice from Our Dark Duet and a pinch of the Darkling from the Grisha trilogy and I’d be more than happy.

Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (15)

I feel like I am going to have to stop myself from just choosing the Raven Boys and stealing them from Blue, because lets be honest, that would obviously be my answer otherwise.  However, if not, then I would probably choose: Kaz Brekker, if we ever needed a mastermind criminal to get us out of sticky situation; Kady Grant, because anyone who can survive on a ship with AIDAN has to be pretty damn clever; Starr Carter, as I think we could all learn a thing or two from this empowering character; and of course, Levi to cheer everyone up or provide some much needed coffee!

Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (16)

This could really just end up being a list of some of my favourite books, because all I ever want to read is fantasies with characters falling in love whilst also trying to kill each other.  Somehow all Crooked Kingdom, Illuminae and The Rose and the Dagger managed to give me some of my favourite emotional scenes that were just spectacularly beautiful on one page before giving me a fight scene with tons of action the next; and honestly, I am more than okay with that!

Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (17)

Adam and Julian from A List of Cages are two characters who have touched and warmed my heart ever since I first read about their beautiful relationship and friendship that I just adored reading about.  If you need a book to both break your heart and warm it at the same time, then A List of Cages is definitely one to read!

Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (18)

In an effort not to repeat myself I will try desperately hard not to mention two of my favourites, Kady Grant and Starr Carter, who are two exceptionally strong ladies.  Inej from Six of Crows and Shazi from the Wrath and the Dawn are also two of my favourite female characters who I adore to no end, as well as a new addition to the list in the form of Kelsea from The Queen of the Tearling, who is most definitely one of the strongest and most fearsome rulers I have ever read about.

My own pets provide enough madness for me at the minute, but if I could have one ‘exotic’ pet, I would definitely not pass up the oppurtinity to have a dragon named Magnus.  I know it is entirely impractical and a very typical answer, but honestly I would be more than happy with my own pet dragon like Toothless.
