Top Ten Tuesday Twenty Three – Top Ten Books With My Favourite Colour On The Cover

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/ meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

If you can’t tell by the overwhelming presence of the colour blue on my blog or in my photos, or by the fact that I have an entire bookshelf dedicated to just blue books, then this TTT is just confirmation that blue is definitely my favourite colour.  Therefore I am so excited to share some books with gorgeous blue covers today because I am definitely a sucker for a gorgeous cover.

So here are ten books with my favourite colour on the cover!

I specifically wanted to get this particular cover of this book over all of the others floating around just because of how much I love this colour and this cover in general.  It is just the perfect blue on the most gorgeous, simplistic cover that I can not wait to dive into, as I know that the inside will be just as amazing as the outside.

This one just had to make my list this week, as not only does it feature my favourite colour on the cover, but it also is one of my all time favourite book covers.  Despite picking up a copy of this almost as soon as it was released, so far I have only read two of the short stories within in, and so I’m currently hoping for the weather to stay warm for once so that I dive back into this anthology really soon.

Of course there had to be a Cassandra Clare book with my favourite colour on it!  Although Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows also include blue within their covers, I just had to feature this one, as not only do I love the particular dark, misty blue of this cover, but it is also my favourite book in the Mortal Instruments Series, and so I could not pass up the opportunity to mention it today.

I will admit that this was definitely a cover buy for me, because can we all just take a moment to admire how beautiful this cover is?  Unfortunately I have yet to get round to this one despite hearing such good things about, but I hoping to do so within the next few months, especially as the release of Muse of Nightmare gets closer and closer.

I am in love with all of Renee Ahdieh’s covers, but this one is most definitely my favourite colour out of all of them.  This book was actually my first read of 2018, as I just couldn’t wait to continue on this story after finishing The Wrath and the Dawn, even if it meant that I am now left just anxiously awaiting the release of Smoke in the Sun!

Finally, I can’t tell you how happy I am that one of the books in this trilogy has a blue cover, as I am in love with the design of them, and so this is definitely one of my favourite book covers.  Although I have yet to finish this book yet, as I DNFed it last time I picked it up, I am still hoping to continue on with this series and give this book another go really soon, so that I can discover whether or not the inside matches the gorgeous outside of this book.

One of my favourite aspects of this book was the drawings and pictures that accompanied each object discussed in this story, and so I love how this is reflected on this cover.  This book takes such a gorgeous look at the development and eventual break down of a relationship between two people, with this beautiful blue cover reflecting just how amazing the story inside it is.

Okay, this might be cheating just slightly because, yes, this cover hasn’t got all that much blue on it, but I just had to include it because of how beautiful this cover is, plus the spine is blue, so I think its okay.  I have been anticipating reading this book ever since I first heard about it just before it was released, and so I can’t wait to dive into and see what this story holds.

I am in love with all of the book covers, and the books themselves, in this series, but this cover is most definitely my favourite because of its gorgeous blue background.  This is the second installment in one of my all time favourite series, The Illuminae Files, and so it is definitely a book I expect to reread quite a few times in the years to come.

Although this book unfortunately wasn’t a favourite of mine, I am still very much a fan of the gorgeous bluey-green colour of this cover.  I’m already like the style of David Levithan’s covers anyway, and so I am definitely a fan of that combined with this gorgeous colour.

What books feature your favourite colour on the cover?  Have you read any of these – what did you think?
