November Book Haul

Despite not reading a ton in both October and November, I certainly didn’t slow down on buying books in that time.  Not only were there a fair few sequels and new releases that I was desperate to get my hands on, but it was also my birthday back at the start of November, and so I was kindly given books or gift cards to buy books, for that.

I’m super excited about so many of these amazing books, so much so that I have actually already read a few in here, but nonetheless, here are all of the books I have acquired recently!

After reading Six of Crows back in September, I was desperate to get my hands on this one as soon as I could, so I was really excited when I was received this one for my birthday.  I am so in love with this world and these characters, and can not tell you how excited I am to continue on with this story.

Another sequel here that I just couldn’t wait to get my hands, after I really loved This Savage Song when I read it back in October, which also somehow happened to be my first V. E. Schwab book.  Despite usually being someone who leaves a good amount of time between books in series, I am already desperate to pick this book up, and so wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up being one of next reads.

This is a book that I said I needed to pick up ever since I read Crown of Midnight all the way back in March, and so I was so happy when my friend gave me this for my birthday.  I have actually already read this one as I just couldn’t wait to dive straight into it, and can not tell you how much I loved this third installment, and so how excited I now am to continue on with this series really soon.

This is another one I received for my birthday, and one that I both super excited and pretty nervous about reading.  I have heard really good things about this classic from people, but have to admit that the sheer size of this one is still just a little bit intimidating to me, but nonetheless I am still super excited to now own a copy of this classic so that I can dive into it whenever I am in the mood for it.

It has been almost a year since I read the first book in this series, Snow Like Ashes, so I knew that to stand any chance of continuing on with this series I had to pick up this book soon.  I really enjoyed the Snow Like Ashes, and so am really excited to continue on in this world and with these characters, and I’m really curious to see where the story goes next!

This is likely my favourite classic, and so I can’t tell you how happy I was when I received this gorgeous hardcover edition of it for my birthday.  I just love the simplicity of this cover and am so happy that I now own another edition of my favourite classic.

After Flame in the Mist became one of my favourite books of the year, I was desperate to read more by Renee Ahdieh, and so decided to pick up this, her first duology, a month or so ago.  However, I accidentally ended up buying the second book, The Rose and the Dagger first, and so consequently now already both of these despite not actually having started this series yet, so I’m really hoping that I end up enjoying these two!

This haul is definitely filled to the brim with sequels, as once again I just had to get my hands on the next book in this series after how much I enjoyed Cinder.  I couldn’t wait to dive into this one, and so have actually already read it.  I thoroughly enjoyed this second book as much as the first, and really enjoyed seeing the world and the story fleshed out, and now can’t wait to continue on with this series in Cress.

Finally, this is one that I have been anticipating since the beginning of the year, so I could not resist picking it up when it was finally released.  I adored both of Tommy Wallach’s first two books, and so can not wait to dive into this, especially as this is not a contemporary book, as his other two are, and so can not wait to both return to his writing and to see him move into a completely new genre.

This was the first book inside the November Fairyloot box, and one that I didn’t know much about beforehand, and so likely wouldn’t have picked up on my own.  However, I love the sound of this, as it just sounds like a such an epic fantasy including dragons, and so I am super excited to get round to this one, and to see what this story has in store.

Finally, the November Fairyloot box also included this 2018 ARC that I can not tell you how excited I am to read.  Not only is it really exciting to have a book that hasn’t actually been realised yet, but I also love the sound of this one, especially as it takes place over two different time periods, and so can not wait to read it, hopefully pretty soon.

What books have you bought  or received recently?  Have you read any of these – what did you think?
