Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/ meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish.
This weeks topic was one I was extremely excited about, as someone who both loves making TBR’s and loves Autumn, and so couldn’t wait to decide on which books I hope to read over the next few months. Autumn is also likely my favourite time of year for reading, as I love getting to dive into so much fantasy and so many atmospheric books that I can’t help but get drawn straight into.
So here are some of the books that I hope to read this Autumn.
From the moment I started watching Booktube and later reading bookish blogs, I saw , this book everywhere, but yet I still have still not read it for myself. The movie of this one is also to be released early next year, so now really is the time when I need to read this one, and hopefully enjoy it as much as so many other people have.
It feels like its been so long since I read a classic, and so I’m weirdly feeling the desire to pick another one up soon, so figured this might be a safe bet to fulfill my craving for a classic. I know I enjoy Fitzgerald’s writing, and so can’t wait to dive back into it and fall into another of his stories.
Ever since I got over the initial overwhelming need to read this as soon as I finished Blue Lily, Lily Blue, I have been putting this one off completely because I just do not want this series to end. I am so desperate to read this conclusion, and so just hope that soon I can bite the bullet and get over my fear of leaving these characters and this world, especially since we are getting a Ronan trilogy at some point in the future!
Last year I finally started the Throne of Glass series, but still have yet to start Sarah J. Maas other huge series. I love the sound of this one as a Beauty and the Beast retelling, and also think it just sounds like a perfect read for this time of year, so hopefully I can actually pick it up and read it pretty soon.
Ever since I heard that there was a film adaptation of this book coming up, I was desperate to read it before the movie, and so know that I have to get round to it pretty soon in order to do this. I’m so excited about reading this murder mystery, and can’t wait to curl up with it in the coming weeks.
Another here that sounds just perfect for Halloween, as it uncovers a mystery surrounding the burning down of a school, and just sounds so amazingly spooky and dark. This entire book is also told through diary entries, transcripts and many other unique formats that I can’t wait to dive into.
I can’t believe that I still have yet to read a book by Victoria Schwab, and so hope to finally correct that this Autumn. From what I’ve heard about this book, it also seems as though this one might be another good one to read around, or in the run up to Halloween, as it sounds quite a dark story that might be a good one to get me into the scary mood.
As I said before, I am strangely really wanting to read more classics than I normal do this season, and so would love to get round to this one as well during Autumn. I really loved George Orwell’s 1984 when I read it back in July, so am hoping that I enjoy this one just as much.
Finally, with Halloween sitting right in the middle of Autumn, I know that I needed to read this one before it hits to hopefully get me into the spooky spirit. I love short story anthologies, and so am really looking forward to delving into some of these scary tales sometime soon.
What books are on your Autumn TBR? Have you read any of these – what did you think?
I really want to read Ready Player One and Murder on the Orient Express before the end of the year!

I don’t blame you about The Raven King – I didn’t want it to end either, but it ends well.
